I think sadness, just like happiness, is something transitory, something which will change into something else. In the moments of sadness a human life form could sense that sooner or later his sadness will be gone and his mood will be either weaker (regressive) or stronger (aggressive) thereafter. Sadness does not necessarily change into wretchedness, but could also change into fear (which is regressive), and also anger (which is aggressive).

In a moment of sadness a human life form's sixth sense sensitivity slightly increased. He could feel the nuances which he did not feel in most of his time. He became more alert. It could be said that sadness has a positive effect on human life form's defence system.

More than anything else sadness strongly stimulates a human life form to stop for awhile and evaluate his actions. In this sense sadness could be seen as a primary factor which drags him to learn and enhance his understanding about his Ego.

I do not know how to continue this message, so I just finish it by placing three quotes here:

- Sadness is but a wall between two gardens. (Kahlil Gibran. Lebanese poet.)

- The word "happiness" would lose its meaning if it is not balanced by "sadness". (Carl Gustav Jung. Swiss psychiatrist.)

- It is not a suffering which gives a man sadness, but the unknown cause of his suffering. (Siddharta. A freak.)
