Tatsächlich habe ich auf deine Bitte hin in den letzten Stunden herausfinden können, was sich hinter dem heutigen Mordanschlag verbirgt, und hinsichtlich dem vor drei Tagen gegen dich konnte ich nichts herausfinden. Als du mich heute früh telepathisch gerufen hast, war ich leider gerade sehr beschäftigt und unabkömmlich, doch konnte ich mich am Nachmittag den beiden Vorfällen widmen, wobei ich sehr Unerfreuliches festgestellt habe. Lass mich nun aber erst hören, was sich genau zugetragen hat in den frühen Morgenstunden, denn du hast mir nur karge Angaben gemacht.

Dann ging ich rund um die Remise und wollte quer über den Parkplatz zum Haupthaus hinüber, um doch noch meine zwei üblichen Stunden zu schlafen, denn der Morgen graute ja schon. Gerade schaute ich auf die Armbanduhr – es war 5.03 h – und ging am Platz vorbei, wo Menara damals am 23. November 1977 auf dem Parkplatz gelandet war, als mir wieder einmal blitzartig Schmerzen ins Kreuz fuhren, wodurch ich – wie üblich – zusammenzuckte. Im gleichen Augenblick hörte ich von der hinteren westlichen Hausecke des Haupthauses her einen lauten Knall und sah im gleichen Augenblick – weil ich automatisch dorthin blickte – eine dunkle Gestalt verschwinden. Dem Knall nach hat es sich wahrscheinlich um ein Kleinkalibergewehr gehandelt, und das Geschoss muss hinter dem Märchenweiher irgendwo in den Boden geschlagen haben. Natürlich griff ich sofort nach meiner Pistole, die ich ja seit dem Anschlag vor drei Tagen wieder mit mir trug, sauste los zur Hausecke – und fand natürlich niemanden mehr. Seltsam war dabei, dass mir die weghuschende Gestalt recht bekannt erschien, und zwar meinte ich … erkannt zu haben, weshalb ich noch niemandem etwas von der Sache erzählte. Das auch deshalb, weil ich es einfach nicht wahrhaben wollte, was auch der Grund dafür war, dass ich noch eine gute Viertelstunde die Gegend absuchte, um vielleicht doch noch etwas zu finden – was jedoch ergebnislos war. Dann ging ich zurück in mein Büro, legte mich auch die Couch und schlief bis 7.40 h. Als ich dann erwachte, habe ich dich gerufen und kurz Bericht erstattet, mit der Bitte, ob du das Geschehen von heute morgen und auch das vor drei Tagen abklären könntest. Das war es, was sich zugetragen hat.

Das lässt für uns nur eine Vermutung zu, die sich auf die ‹Black Men› bezieht, die hasserfüllte kleine Sirianergruppe. In bezug auf diese solltest du aber Schweigen bewahren bis zu jenem Zeitpunkt, zu dem wir selbst darüber offen sprechen werden. Was nun aber den Anschlag von heute morgen auf dein Leben betrifft, muss ich dir nach meinen eingehenden Abklärungen und einer entsprechenden Rückschau deine Vermutung bestätigen. Es besteht also kein Zweifel daran, dass du an der Hausecke beim Weglaufen nach dem Schuss auf dich … erkannt hast.
