HOAX OR CONTAMINATION EVIDENCE / ARGUMENTS

Here's an overview of points that by debunkers are interpreted as evidence for a hoax. Proponents interpret these points as contamination that is part of a carefully planned disclosure strategy by the ETs.

Feel free to add good arguments.

1

The lower part of the wedding cake shaped UFO resembles a trashcan lid that was used at Meier's farm.

2

Well-known UFO researcher Bruce Maccabee analyzed Meier's 8 mm film in which a UFO circles the top of a fir tree. He found out that the motion of the UFO is consistent with the motion of a pendulum that is being driven by moving its suspension point.

3

A comparison between photo #159 and the tree sunlight scene photos (#164, #174 and #175) show that many branches should be visible in front of the UFO.

4

There is no solid evidence that the tree featuring in Meier's 8 mm film in which a UFO circles the top of a fir tree existed. This evidence for the hoax hypothesis.

5

During his 1975 trip in outer space Meier allegedly took photos of the aliens Asket and Nera. It was later discovered that the women featuring in the photos greatly resembled two dancers from a television program.

6

The extraordinary metal sample studied, photographed and filmed by IBM scientist Marcel Vogel mysteriously disappeared.

7

All original slides and negatives sooner or later disappeared out of Meier's possession. This is confirmed in Meier's book "Aus dem Tiefen des Weltenraums... Kontakte mit den Plejadiern/Plejaren", page 133.

8

The existence of ring shaped objects on top of the cupola of the UFO. These particular items resemble attachment rings.
