Its a big copy and paste endeavour, I was happy to do it, I think it looks real pleasant and generous on the eye, but there is too much of these clippings as you have well said, thank you for the advice.

It has to be on the left because the whole site is that way already and we have justified having it on the left for some good reasons, much better reasons already, such as it promoting the german language and not the edge of the screen because we read left to right not arabic right to left. At any rate it has to be on the left because it breaks the continuous readers expectation, it is site wide, except the downloadable documents.
